Fry-Drive, the Biodiesel website

…exists to enlighten you on the many benefits of using Bio Fuels, specifically Biodiesel, as a replacement or indeed an addition to fossil based petroleum diesel. We will also point you in the right direction in order for you to source many Biodiesel resources; including books, instructional videos, plans and equipment should you wish to build your own Biodiesel Processor.

It is true that most diesel engines actually run more efficiently on good quality Biodiesel than they would on regular petroleum diesel. It is also true that Biodiesel is more environmentally friendly, and that normally, it costs a fraction of the price of petroleum diesel. Check with your vehicle manufacturer regarding any warranty conditions then consider the change to a cleaner more efficient fuel for your car or truck.
Biodiesel can be added to normal diesel as a blend, and indeed a large number of major vehicle manufacturers have catered for this within their warranties. Most will be ok with a mixture of up to 30% Biodiesel to normal diesel (also known as B30), however diesel engines will run quite happily on 100% Biodiesel (B100).
My partner and I have completed over 40,000 miles since 2007 in a Peugeot 407 (2006) and a Citroen Berlingo van (2001) without any problems at all running on 100% Biodiesel, fuel, which I had produced using waste vegetable oil (WVO) collected from local Kebab shops. This admittedly was done out of necessity because of a daily 100 mile round trip to work. Making my own fuel saved me an absolute fortune, and we found was well worth the time invested once a fortnight in the garage. (Here in the UK an individual is legally entitled to produce up to 2,500ltrs of Biodiesel for personal use without incurring fuel surcharges), just try not to sell any to your friends, or you could fall fowl of the Law.
Although I no longer produce my own fuel, working from home has eliminated the necessity to do so, I still recommend and encourage people who are high mileage diesel car drivers to first of all try it and then perhaps have a go at producing their own. Let’s face it this is an opportunity to do your bit to save the planet (Biodiesel is classed as a carbon neutral fuel), potentially save yourself a fortune, whilst extending the life of your car’s engine; can you think of a reason not to look into this in greater detail? Check out your local area for Biodiesel at the pumps then after taking the initial plunge, perhaps with a blend of up to 30% (B30) you may consider saving even more money by producing your own. If you want to obtain more information about producing your own Bio Fuels from waste vegetable oil (WVO) using a Biodiesel Processor simply check out our Biodiesel resources within Fry-drive, the Biodiesel website for a great collection of instructional videos, books from our partners at Amazon, and Biodiesel or Bio Fuels equipment from any one of our other partners.
